Technology Agreement
Online education is more important than ever. Chromebook laptops are a fixture of many students’ daily lives, as integral to their classwork as binders, pencils, and textbooks.
In dual-credit courses at the high school, juniors and seniors receive college-level instruction and complete assignments online. In the middle and elementary schools, students are able to catch up on i-Ready assignments from home.
Much of this work is achieved through the technology initiative at GSD. Our district operates at a one-to-one ration, meaning that each student in K-12 has his or her own computer. Students are often permitted to take these laptops home to complete assignments.
This sensitive equipment is provided by GSD and on loan to students, who are expected to treat these resources responsibly. We encourage students and families to study the Technology Handbook to determine appropriate use. Two agreement forms must be completed and turned in before students may receive a computer.
