Welcome to the Grenada Lake Room of Balloon Quest!

This room will feature elements of Grenada Lake including the shoreline and the old airplane hangar that was found at Grenada airport.

Videos made by our aeronautical engineer can be accessed with QR codes and will teach visitors about Newton’s Laws, the mechanics of flight, and rules of force, mass, friction, and motion. The information from the videos and the room posters will enable students to answer questions and use the related codes to open a lockbox. The lockbox contains NFC codes that access an ecology song from a trio of baby eaglets.

With their new knowledge about flight, participants will make paper airplanes, exit through a giant tree trunk, and climb up a staircase to test the flight of their planes.
